Gerard is one of the founding Directors of TERROIR. He is the Director in charge of the Sydney office and has a key design role on all major projects.
EXPERTISE
Gerard’s key area of experience is in design excellence and the management of commercial projects, having had senior level experience on large-scale commercial work across Australia. Since forming the practice Gerard has been design director of key projects including the Hazards Resort, 86-88 George Street, Leichhardt House, ANZAC Parade Amenities and Maitland Bowls.
Gerard has established a reputation for his insightful design commentary through regular contributions to Australian periodicals (Architecture Review Australia, Architecture Australia, Monument), newspapers and public forums. This role as a public advocate of architectural excellence has been recognized in his selection in the Bulletin’s “Hottest 100” of people set to influence Australian cultural life in 2004,his appointment to UTS as an Adjunct Professor in 2005.
