Juan Jose Cruz Martinez

Juan Jose joined Terroir in 2011 to work on the Royal Hobart Hospital Project.

He completed his Architecture education in the University of Seville (Spain) to later study Master of Design at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney. As part of his degree, he studied Architectural Design and Landscape Architecture for one year in Florence (Italy).

Juan Jose worked for 5 years as an Architect and Urban Designer in Spain, and later in Australia. Over those years, he entered in a number European Architecture competitions and has been awarded internationally. He has been a guest lecturer at his home university and a tutor for the postgraduate program at COFA.

Before joining the office Juan Jose has worked in residential, commercial and institutional projects and he played a leadership role in the construction of the NH Hotel in Gibraltar Bay, Spain. His skills involve strong conceptual design that can be carried all the way through documentation stage and construction.
