Adrian Lahoud

Adrian Lahoud is a practicing architect and lecturer at The University of Technology Sydney. He is currently completing a post graduate research into emergent forms of urban design and development through the use of digital technology. This research addresses issues of mobility, conflict and confinement with regards to tourism, refugees and urbanism especially in the Middle East. Adrian also co-ordinates urban design studios and technology seminars at The University of Technology Sydney.

In 2003 he established //Asabiyah. This research based architectural practice works across a range of projects from infrastructure design and urban design to commercial and residential work. Prior to establishing his own practice Adrian worked with a number of prominent Australian artists, architects and landscape architects.  It was in this guise – working for Richard Goodwin – that he met TERROIR, which led to his involvement in a number of projects.

Key projects in which Adrian has made major contributions include the COFA competition, Hazards competition and U2 Tower competition.  Adrian's thinking and approach set him apart from his contemporaries in Sydney and thus his intellectual precision are constantly relied upon as a barometer of how we are going.
